DWL Ep.23. Expectations

Episode Summary

Expectations are like stereotypes, not always correct, but often a safe bet. They also put an artificial and unnecessary significance on things that otherwise may not matter. Being held to certain expectations can breed success, holding people and things to certain expectations can also ruin situations. Good or bad, they are inevitable in life.

Episode Notes

After a long hiatus we are back! And we're talking about expectations - expectations in all aspects of life, mostly for the self, but also of everyone and everything else. Do expectations help push to be better, or is it ultimately setting you up for let-down?

"It's the chip on my shoulder that drives me. And its the lack of fulfillment that grows the chip. If I find the fulfillment, I lose the chip, and then I cant find the drive.
